South Lafourche Branch with Sharon
Much of our parish has experienced devastation and loss with Hurricane Ida, and our library system is no exception. We are saddened to share that our South Lafourche and Golden Meadow branches were significantly damaged in the storm and will be closed for the unforseeable future.
Sharon, one of the members of our South Lafourche Maintenance crew, filmed this Staff Shares spotlight about the branch before the hurricane hit, not knowing that the storm would bring so much devastation upon the library. We know how much our South Lafourche branch was loved down the bayou, and we have been working over the past few weeks on plans to continue to provide library services to the southern part of the parish.
Join us this Sunday, 9/26 at 9 AM in remembering the South Lafourche Branch as it were during this week's Staff Shares Sunday spotlight.
