Crystal's Pick: Lost and Found by Danielle Steel

Danielle Steel’s latest book, Lost and Found, is a story of a 60-ish age woman reflecting on the what if’s of past relationships. Maddie is a photographer and the mother of three grown children. She lives alone in an old firehouse that was remodeled into a home. One day, Maddie falls off a ladder and breaks her ankle. One of her daughters confronts her about the safety of her living arrangements and urges her mother to consider moving into an assisted living facility. Maddie is a very independent woman and doesn’t feel like assisted living is necessary at this time in her life. This confrontation causes Maddie to take a time-out from life and begin a cross country road trip of self-reflection from New York to California. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who has ever felt like they needed a time-out from their life to reflect on the past and plan for the future.

Rating: **** Stars (I really liked it)
