Laura's Pick: Into the Fire by Gregg Hurwitz

Into the Fire is the 5th book in the Orphan X series. Evan Smoak, known as Orphan X was a part of an off book black-op government sector that has recently shut down. As a personal way to atone for the sins he feels he committed during that time he re-invented himself as the Nowhere Man. As the Nowhere Man, he helps good people fix some series life or death issues they are having. All they have to do to pay him back is pass on his name and number to another good person in need of help.

Evan has decided the next person he helps will be his final mission. Max Merriweather is in trouble. His cousin Greg, gave him some information to pass on if he is murdered. As he tries to give documents to the reporter, he finds that she is also dead and now someone wants Greg murdered too. In steps the Nowhere Man.

I am a huge fan of this series and have read them all. You do not have to have read the entire series to pick up this exciting thriller and enjoy the fast paced roller coaster ride that is Evan Smoak. I highly recommend!
