Crystal's Pick: Before I Go by Brian Charles

A year after her husband’s plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean, Abby Gamble knows she needs to start moving beyond her grief. She and Ben shared a deep love, made even stronger by the heartache they went through together. But Ben would want her to keep living. So Abby throws herself once more into her cosmetics company—only to find herself at a crossroads when she meets Joel, a physician whose past is as scarred as hers. Yet Ben isn’t gone. Ever since his plane went down, he’s been trying to make his way back to Abby.

If you like books that stay with you long after reading them and aren’t just touching but deep-down soul touching, I recommend reading Before I Go by Brian Charles. If you like Karen Kingsbury, Richard Paul Evans, and Nicholas Sparks, you’ll enjoy this amazing book.

Abby Gamble has spent the past year grieving the unexpected and sudden loss of her husband Ben. En route to Australia from Chicago, Ben’s plane goes down over the Pacific Ocean. Ben’s body was never recovered so he’s been declared “missing presumably dead”. Trying to move forward, Abby throws her time and energy into her thriving cosmetics company, but her family feels she needs to begin socializing again, possibly even dating. Eventually, Abby meets Dr. Joel Keaton. They start dating. Not only is Abby grieving, but Joel has spent many years grieving over a tragic accident that occurred during his childhood. Together, they are helping each other repair the broken areas of their lives.

In the meantime, Ben is on an uninhabited island desperately trying to make his way back to Abby. Whoa! What’s happening here? Did Ben actually survive the plane crash? Will Ben make his way back to Abby? If so, what’s going to happen to Abby and Joel’s relationship? To find out, read Before I Go by Brian Charles.
