Heather's Pick: Fortune and Glory by Janet Evanovich

Stephanie Plum is at it again! This time she and Grandma Mazer are on a treasure hunt despite resistance from family and friends. When these two team up hilarity is sure to ensue, and the latest Janet Evanovich book Fortune and Glory did not disappoint.

With all that is going on in the world, this book is an outlet for romance, comedy, suspense, and a few destroyed cars. You will be laughing out loud as Stephanie and Lulu try to track down some skips that are not very willing to be caught, and as Grandma goes rogue to find her late husband’s hidden treasure. This plot-driven nature of the book will also have you guessing right up to the very end, which is typical for this series.

After the twenty-seventh book, you would think this series would have run out of steam, but Janet always finds a way to stay true to her characters and has created a world in which we all want to revisit. I enjoy catching up with this cast of characters every year. It’s like coming home.
