Santa Claus is coming to town!

(And Mrs. Claus, and a few elves…you should join them.)

The holidays are here, and pretty soon, so will Santa and Mrs. Claus.

They’ll be traveling the parish, stopping at different library branches to spread holiday cheer, hear Christmas wishes from the little ones, and make themselves available for holiday photos for families.

Stop by your library branch and enjoy holiday treats, arts and crafts and other activities to help you get in the holiday spirit. All library activities are free and open to the public.

Check out the scheduled events below if you’d like to visit with Santa or Mrs. Claus.

Be on the lookout for Santa, Comet, Blitzen, and the gang

Want to track Santa’s journey from the North Pole to all parts around the globe on Christmas Eve?

The go-to-place for that is the North American Aerospace Defense Command, a.k.a., NORAD.

Throughout the year, NORAD, a U.S. and Canadian organization, provides aerospace warning and aerospace control for North America. During the holiday season, NORAD takes on another special mission: to track Santa.

On Christmas Eve, thousands of volunteers man telephones and computers to answer calls and emails from children around the world to provide info about Santa’s whereabouts.

To keep track yourself, visit the NORAD Santa tracker at http://www.noradsanta.org/.
