I’m in between books right now and have gone on the hunt, so to speak, for my next great read. This can be a daunting task for the seasoned reader or even an experienced librarian. But your local library has some options that can assist you, including a few well placed internet searches.
So where should you go?
If you go to the LPPL catalog and do a search for a book you like, you can click on Series and Recommendations. This will give you a book recommendation similar to the one you liked that we have at LPPL.
You can go to the LPPL website and look at our librarian’s book reviews for what we are all reading. Go over to staff services and choose staff picks & reviews.
Now for websites:
www.goodreads.com has some great lists.
http://www.amazon.com/ also has lists. Just go to the search bar tab on the left, pull down books and then hit enter without putting anything in the box and the lists will be right below the bar.
I hope this has given you some ways to look for your next great reading adventure. But remember, your library is here to help, so if you are still unsure about what to read next - ask your local librarian, they are always happy to assist you!!
Enjoy your adventure – happy travels!
