Spring officially starts March 20, and something in the air makes people want to dig around in the dirt. Your library is even gearing up for National Garden Month in April! Check in with your local branch to see what they will be hosting in the coming month. Displays of our gardening books will be up, but don’t be shy about heading into the stacks. Our collections include far more gardening books than we could ever fit in a display, so if you want to grow it, we almost certainly have a book about how to do it! You can even find information on topics like organic, sustainable practices and permaculture! Being an apartment dweller myself, my “garden” is really just a few pots in the sunniest spot I can manage, but that just means it’s low-maintenance for me. ;)
