Looking for a job?
Many job applications are only available online. Our libraries have multiple computer stations at all of our branches, including PC’s running windows and Mac’s running the latest IOS system. All computers are loaded with a web browser and MS Office software. Libraries are ready to assist with job applications, resumé help, and job searching strategies. There is a Book-A-Librarian program at our libraries where you can reserve a librarian for an hour for one-on-one help. Or come in when it’s convenient for you, and we will still offer guidance as we assist others. Our librarians cannot do the work for you, but we can certainly make the process easier.
Need an out-of-the-house activity?
We offer free activities to occupy kids, teens and adults. There are crafts, story times, guest speakers, robotics, magna tiles, crochet classes, and so much more - for all ages. We also have Xbox gaming systems with age appropriate games, iPad’s in all areas of the library, smart tables, Lego tables, and felt story boards just to name a few of the fun and exciting things to do at your library. We have you covered there too! You can check out eBooks and eAudio books through the Cloud Library app or the Hoopla app. Movies are also available within the Hoopla app. If you like digital magazines we have some available through the Flipster app. If it’s gaming that you like, we now offer OnePlay where you can download games to your device. There are also many databases for research and genealogy needs, including Homework Louisiana to assist with those hard to do math problems! You can learn a new language with Rosetta Stone or use Novelist to find that next great book. All without leaving home – you just need your library card and 4-digit pin number.
