Celebrating Veterans @ Your Library

Veterans Day, which was originally called Armistice Day, was established in 1938 to commemorate the end of World War I and to honor Veterans who served in that war. In 1954, November 11 was renamed to honor American Veterans of all wars.

The Lafourche Parish Library honors all Veterans, and extends a warm invitation to attend one or more of our many Veterans Day activities. We appreciate the sacrifices you made, and thank you for your service.
