Winter Reading @ LPPL

It’s official, winter has come…

December 21 marks the official beginning of winter. The sun is farthest from the equator, giving us a chance for cooler temperatures. The name “winter” comes from an old Germanic word meaning “time of water”. Winter precipitation in some locales translates to snow-covered winter wonderlands with opportunities for ice skating, skiing, sledding, and all manner of winter recreation.

Here in the Deep South “time of water” most often translates to rain, lots of rain. Enduring those winter rainstorms doesn’t have to be boring or without recreation.
