Teen Tech Week is coming soon!
Attention all TEENS! What are you doing the week of March 5th - 11th? Are you ready to “Be the Source of Change” for Teen Tech Week?
Teen Tech Week is a national program of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) designed to educate teens on technology. YALSA’s Teen Tech Week encourages teens to not only learn about different technologies but also become ethical users of ALL technology. Technology is a tool used every day in many ways. Our library staff will show you even more ways that technology can change your world. The Lafourche Parish Library system celebrates this week by hosting programs and activities in all library branches. Programs range from teen socials to working with robots. South Lafourche Library was awarded a $1,000 Teen Tech Week grant from YALSA. The branch bought exciting new technology including 3D pens, building sets, and robots for teens to encounter technology. For more information about Teen Tech Week you can visit their website at www.ala.org/teentechweek or your local library.
