February is Children's Dental Health Month

February is designated as National Children’s Dental Health Month, and the objective is to raise awareness about the importance of good oral health. Although tooth decay is easily preventable, it’s still an extremely common issue for children. Brushing with a fluoride toothpaste can help keep children from getting cavities. Dental sealants also help to protect against cavities and may be an option worth discussing with the dentist.

Each of the nine Lafourche Parish Public Library branches have an event planned to observe National Children’s Dental Health Month, and we’d love for you to join us.
