After launching her own line of yoga and workout videos, Adrian Rizzo begins receiving death threats, which lead her back home to Maryland, where she, with the help of her childhood crush, must find the truth when the threats escalate to murder.
Legacy is a story about love, family and great food. Born the daughter of a shrewd businesswoman, Adrian learned that business is always more important than family. Until the year her father attempted to kill her. Then Adrian was sent to live with her grandparents who taught her to form deep, lasting relationships with those she loves. As life unfolds for Adrian, she follows in her mother’s footsteps and becomes an accomplished fitness master. She collects lifelong friends that become her family. Much to her continued dismay, Adrian is terrorized by threatening letters each year. Adrian is forced to make some tough choices about her life and career. Those choices shape her future in ways she cannot begin to imagine.
Nora Roberts draws you into the story so effortlessly. I was captivated from page one and stayed that way throughout the book. I would characterize this story as contemporary fiction with a tiny bit of suspense. I enjoyed the way Roberts gave a generational view of the lives of this family. Any Nora Roberts fan will appreciate this book as it reflects her current style of writing.
